Five artists from visarte.li are devoting themselves to the topic of ‘2050’ as part of an artistic intervention. How will we live in 2050? What will the world look like? How can we shape the future?
The artists' collective Katharina-Bierreth Hartungen, Dagmar Frick-Islitzer, Yoly Maurer, Toni Ochsner and Angelika Steiger asked over 80 people about their abilities and their impact on 2050, resulting in a collaborative work and individual works. Their works developed from an in-depth artistic process. These evoke questions and open up a discourse about which things we can do without, which habits we should let go of and which qualities we will need in the future. They want to broaden our view and encourage us to think further.

( )ein Spiel um die Zukunft
(a game about the future)
Is the game stuck in a draw or does the game develop into an opportunity for new approaches? Humans versus AI or humans and AI together; quality of life versus climate or quality of life and climate protection; get personally involved or wait and see?
The year 2050 cannot be averted, but what will be in 2050 is already being prepared today.
